The Gentle Good is the moniker of Cardiff-based songwriter Gareth Bonello.
A former winner of both the Welsh Music Prize and the Welsh Language Album of the Year, The Gentle Good is a standout interpreter of Welsh folk song and a highly acclaimed songwriter, known for his intricate guitar style and enchanting melodies.
This will be The Gentle Good’s first appearance at Shrewsbury Folk Festival and he’ll be performing twice, with an intimate solo acoustic set on the Sabrina Stage before bringing the band and the psych-folk enchantment of their latest album ‘Elan’ to the Village Stage.
