Deira is a contemporary Celtic-folk trio formed in Asturias, Spain, blending Asturian tradition with a modern Scottish influence.
After becoming the first non-Scottish band to win The Battle of the Folk Bands in Glasgow in 2022, their international reach has grown remarkably, building strong connections and collaborations across Celtic nations.
Following the release of their album Alba (2023), presented at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, the group has toured extensively throughout Europe, performing at major festivals such as Celtic Connections, Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Shetland Folk Festival, and Festival de Ortigueira, among many others.
