Alistair Anderson, concertina and Northumbrian pipes, continues to find inspiration from the traditional music, landscape and the people of Northumberland and the Borders.
Alongside the older melodies dating back to the 1600s and the huge wealth of music he learnt from his great mentors, Joe Hutton, Will Taylor and Will Atkinson, his own compositions build on those traditions. For this special Northumbrian Ceilidh Anderson is joined by 3 of the finest musicians around; Sophy Ball on fiddle, Andy May on keyboards and Northumbrian pipes and Ian Stephenson playing guitar, melodeon and Northumbrian pipes.
