Heron Valley is a dynamic folk band hailing from Scotland, known for their energetic performances and captivating blend of traditional and folk music with contemporary influences.

Formed in 2014, the group quickly gained attention for their lively stage presence and virtuosic musicianship. The band features a powerful line up of bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, keys, bass and drums seamlessly fusing driving rhythms, intricate melodies, and heartfelt lyrics together create a sound that is both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern.

The band released their debut album, “Roam,” in 2017, which was met with critical acclaim and showcased their versatility and passion for traditional music.

In 2015 the band released their first single and music video, ‘Pressed for Time’, receiving over 80k views. A year later they released ‘Home’, capturing the picturesque landscape of the Rest and Be Thankful and Beinn an Lochainn. With views mounting to over 285k on YouTube and 620k plays on Spotify alone, this and the full release of ‘ROAM’ propelled the band into successful tours of North America, performances In the UK and Europe and a range of workshop and teaching opportunities around the globe.

The band features a lively bunch of Scots from a variety of backgrounds; Abigail Pryde on fiddle, guitar and vocals, Kenneth Macfarlane on bagpipes and whistles, Ben Muir on bagpipes and keyboard, Darren Brown on drums and Callum Cronin on bass and guitar.
