Elkie Brooks is a true legend of British music in every sense of the word. In her amazing 60+ year career she has well and truly done it all!

An exceptional performer with an unmistakable voice which has earned her the title of ‘British Queen Of Blues’, she is well known to millions for her many of hit singles including Don’t Cry Out Loud, Sunshine After The Rain, Lilac Wine, No More The Fool and the classic Pearl’s a Singer. At the time of release her ‘Pearls’ album became the most successful album by a British female in chart history, coupled with an incredible run of 16 hit albums.

What is less well known is her diverse musical CV away from the headline grabbing commercial success. Through the 60s & early 70s she played on the blues and jazz circuit and, for more than 30 years, was a guest vocalist with the Humphrey Lyttelton band.

During the early 70’s she fronted the hard rocking Vinegar Joe sharing lead vocals with the late great Robert Palmer. She was working away on the live circuit for 17 years before she had her first hit with Pearl’s a Singer, which overnight catapulted her to sell out runs at the Royal Albert Hall, The Palladium and then arena tours.

After almost singlehandedly defining the power ballad genre, today her jazz, blues and rock pedigree imbues her every performance to make Elkie one of the most versatile, gifted and admired live vocalists.

In 2024 Elkie Brooks will embark upon her ‘Long Farewell Tour’. A celebration of Elkie’s illustrious award winning career in music performing some of her biggest hits including Pearl’s A Singer, Lilac Wine, Fool (If You think It’s Over), and Don’t Cry Out Loud with blues, rock, jazz and material from her eagerly anticipated new album. Joined of course by her incredible band. Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to see a truly remarkable artiste!
